Like both Edwards and the Platters, Sammy enjoyed his biggest successes with rocked-up revivals of oldies like 'Sweet Annie Laurie', 'Lavender Blue', 'Always', 'Symphony', and 'Paradise', all of which made the US charts. He came to the UK in 1959 and made a couple of appearances on Boy Meets Girl, which also helped push 'Always' into the UK charts. This compilation anthologizes his recordings for the Big Top label, between 1959-61 and features the rare and collectable LAVENDER BLUE MOODS LP, alongside ten singles, including all his hits.
