For some, the harmonica is not much more than an inexpensive plaything, but as the artists featured here amply demonstrate, the expressive range of the harmonica is as deep and wide as any other musical instrument in the blues, rivaled only by the human voice. These are among the very greatest blues players ever to pick up the instrument, from world renowned legends like Junior Wells (heard here on a previously unreleased take), Big Walter Horton and Little Walter, through undeservedly obscure players whose fame barely stretched beyond their own neighborhoods. This CD contains the best harp players on Delmark, and also includes previously unissued tracks.
Tracks:
1.1 Tomorrow Night (Alternate) - Junior Wells
1.2 Love Grows in Your Heart - Hammie Nixon
1.3 Carey's Rhumba - Carey Bell
1.4 I Got My Brand on You - Mark Hummel
1.5 That Ain't It (Alternate) - Shakey Jake
1.6 Fox Chase/Lost John - Walto Pace
1.7 West Side Blues Harp - 'Mad Dog' Lester Davenport

1.10 Miss Ida (Alternate) - Alfred 'Blues King' Harris
1.11 Coming Home - Tad Robinson
1.12 Devil's Trail - Little Sammy Davis
